It has been nearly a decade since I began travelling, with a camera as my companion. One day I am dancing with shamans in Nepal, on another I am dining with monks in Bhutan. One night I see the most beautiful sight of full moon and its reflection in a lake, on another, I see the moon rising from the mountains – the list is long.
I have spent these years listening to stories in faraway places – stories of courage, resilience, hope, beauty, kindness, love. These stories, woven together with lived experiences, have informed my photographs. For long I have pondered upon the idea of offering these experiences to everyone whose curiosity was stronger than their comfort.
Poets And Pilgrims focuses on exactly that – sharing life experiences. We come together in small groups and travel, admire nature, play music, cook and eat, read books, go for walks, learn new skills, cultivate hobbies, make art, tell stories – you get the idea.
With every experience we craft – we take things slow and feed our curiosity. No mad rush, no bucketlists, no clichés, no buzzwords, not bothered about ‘fitting-in’ – that’s pretty much how we do things. These experiences are personally vetted and are offered in close collaboration with people we trust.
If you are one of those hopeless romantics, those sunset chasers, young at heart, are not afraid to be different, you will enjoy sharing life experiences with us.
– Parvez

If you have wide and keen interests and activities in which you can still be effective, you will have no reason to think about the merely statistical fact of the number of years you have already lived, still less of the probable shortness of your future.
Bertrand Russell

Experiences are better when shared. We do activities in small, diverse groups where everyone feels at home.

When everything in life feels so fast, we appreciate the slow life. We are in no rush and our plans are flexible.

We chase stories, not clichés.

Curiosity guides us. Bucketlists can wait.
